WHITE WATER RAFTING IN CALIFORNIA HOME > CHURCH/YOUTH TRIPS
One of the original companies that provide white water rafting in California dedicated to serving Youth Groups, All-Church Groups, and Men’s & Women’s Retreats
I would like to introduce you to our Church Outdoor and youth group programs that includes white water rafting in California & kayaking, and mountain biking in some of God's Greatest Creations: California wild rivers and mountain canyons. Our deluxe private riverside camp along the South Fork of the American River is the perfect place for groups to share fellowship, fun, and relaxation in a supportive natural setting. As this new chapter in California River Rafting Excitement story comes, I would like to thank the Lord and everyone who has been a part of our success - our staff and you our guests. We see many of the same friendly faces come back year after year and experience God's grace and power. Many of you have rafted with us since the beginning of our white water rafting in California Church Program. The friendships we have developed with our guests and staff along with the ones brought to the Lord, have been the driving force, and with God's help will provide the fuel to propel us into the future.
Thank you for all your help in the past years and like always we pray that you come back and visit us again for white water rafting in California this year and in the years to come.
Dear Norm and WWE Staff: We just completed our first Whitewater Rafting Adventure and we are blessed to have found your company. From first meeting with Debbe on the Phone to the guide staff at the river we had an awesome time with you. Our group was all first time junior high group rafters and your guides made us feel safe and comfortable. We were expecting to "ruff" it for camping but your camp ground and facilities were modern and very clean. Even though there were other groups there, our camp area was large enough and far enough away from others so we could have our own program. If there is anything I can do to help spread the Whitewater Excitement name. please call me and I be happy to. Expect our group back again next summer. Thanks again and God Bless.
Tami Ottenad, Bethany Church

I started Whitewater Excitement, Inc. 29 years ago with no more of a purpose than having fun and making money. However, when I became a Christian in 1985, I realized that life in the Lord had more to offer than just having fun and making money. I started our Church Rafting Adventure program in 1986 with the idea of offering white water rafting in California, and exciting youth activities adventures and outreach. Since those beginnings, our outreach has developed into more than just white water rafting in California . We have expanded our camp areas and this year are offering week long Adventure Camps, rafting, and inflatable kayak trips in some of the most beautiful areas for river rafting in California.

Suit up and get ready for a great ride on one of the most popular rivers for white water rafting in California. With its 21 miles of river and over 50 rapids, this is great for the first timer and veteran rafters who have been whitewater rafting in California. Two different 1-day trips are offered, our 11 mile "GORGE" run that lasts 5 hours, and our "WHOLE RIVER" run that covers the entire stretch of the South Fork of the American River. Both trips include lunch. For those looking for a longer trip and want the overnight camping experience, our "TWO DAY" trips are perfect for you.
We raft the "GORGE" section the first day, and then tackle the "UPPER" section the second day. We are proud to have one of the finest private camp facility right on the South Fork of the American river; equipped with full bathrooms (flush toilets, hot showers, sinks and mirrors), volleyball, basketball, and horseshoes. This river is great for groups ranging from Junior High all the way up to church Senior's groups.

For the more adventurous rafter, the Middle Fork is a step up from the South Fork American River. Within the first few miles of this American River rafting trip, you'll find yourself face-to-face with the "Tunnel Chute". Blasted out back in the late 1800's by gold miners, the river here is squeezed into a 12 foot cascading spillway that continues for 100 feet. Then flows underground through a raftable tunnel. Whitewater rafting in California like this cannot be found anywhere!
The Middle Fork is for ages 14 and up who are good swimmers, in good physical condition, and are adventurous. Not for the timid! (We offer an easier Middle Fork trip, described below the price table, below.)
One day trips for whitewater rafting in California are 18 miles in length and require an early meeting time (7:00 a.m.) and include lunch. Camping is available at our South Fork American River Base Camp for $10/person per night.
Our two day trips for whitewater rafting in California are a fantastic combination of wilderness camping and great California river rafting, Taking the Middle Fork of the American River in two days, gives us time to explore some of the beautiful side canyons and a chance to experience "TRUE" wilderness camping, and California whitewater rafting away from roads, houses, and TVs.

Fast and Furious best describes the awesome big water rapids of the Merced River. Located just outside Yosemite National Park, the Merced river, during the Spring really roars, rapids come in almost non-stop fashion and require very active paddling with experienced crews who have been whitewater rafting in California or adventurous first-timers.
During the Summer months, as the snow melt recedes a little, the Merced lets up a bit and is great for whitewater rafting in California for Junior and Senior High Youth Groups (Min age 14).
One day California river rafting trips on the Merced are 22 miles long and include lunch. While our two day California white water rafting trips are 38 miles and include 2 nights of camping and 4 meals. Take a ride on the wild side!
